NOTE: To use this functionality you must be on Penta version 23.1 or higher. If you are not and would like to use this functionality please contact your Account Administrator and reference this article.

  1. PENTA must be configured to allow Technicians to Inactivate Equipment. See Allow Technicians to Inactivate Equipment for more information about how to configure PENTA to do this.
  2. In MFS navigate to the WO Equipment tab and select the ellipse for the piece of Equipment you wish to Inactivate. In the ellipse select the Inactivate Equipment option.
    1. The Inactivate Equipment pop up can also be opened in the Equipment Details screen by selecting the ellipse.
  3. In the Inactivate Equipment pop up enter a Reason and Comment and hit the save button. Equipment will now be marked inactive in Customer Equipment screen as well as the Maintenance Contract screen for all Maintenance Contracts where the Equipment exists.
