How to Create a Change Request

How do I create a Change Request in PENTA?

Applies To

Project Management > Change Management > Change Requests

Project Management > Change Management > Owner Change Orders

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  1. Navigate to the Change Request window
  2. Enter the Job for the Change Request
  3. Enter the Change Request Id and Description for Change Request
  4. Select what type of Change for the Change Request
  5. On the Status tab select the Current Status and add the Date
  6. Navigate to the Detail Distribution tab - Enter a description for the Change Request Version, there can be multiple Change Request Versions
  7. Enter the Distribution Information - If this is updating a Subcontract, Purchase Order, or Contract Line Items check the boxes and identify what SC, PO, or Contract Line Item to Update
    1. If this Change Request is updated a Subcontract, Purchase Order, or Contract line item -  the line item will need to be created first

8. Once all required information has been entered - Check the Active Version Button

9. The Active Version being checked is going to update the Estimated and forecast costs based on the Change Request Types Rules. If this Change Request is tied to an Subcontract, Purchase Order, or Contract Line item then these will be updated when the Active Version is checked.

10. Now if you want to link this Change Request to the Owner Change Order Id from the Owner - Navigate to the Owner Change Order window (Project Management > Change Management > Owner Change Orders) 

11. Enter the Job Id and Enter the Owner CO Id and Description

12. In the lower block move the Change Requests that need to be linked to the Owner Change Order to the right side of the window
