Resolution/Fix/Answer
NOTE: To use this functionality you must be on Penta version 23.1 or higher. If you are not and would like to use this functionality please contact your Account Administrator and reference this article.Â
To allow your technicians to inactivate Equipment in the field, update the following in the Mobile Field Service - Configuration screen:
- Â In the Equipment Controls Section of the General tab check the checkbox labeled "Allow inactivation of equipment by technician".
- Note: When inactivating Equipment technicians will be required to enter a reason and comment. You can set defaults for those in the screen. See instructions #2 and 3 below.
- If you would like a reason to default for technicians when inactivating equipment that is also on a Maintenance Contract, select one from the drop down in the "Default reason for equipment inactivation" field.
- If you would like a comment to default for technicians when inactivating equipment that is also on a Maintenance Contract, enter the text you want to default in the "Default comment for equipment inactivation" field.
