We recently started using the Parent/Child work order functionality and have experienced an issue with the WO statuses. Posting the billing changed the Parent's status from Work Complete to Close Work Order and then Rev Rec changed it to Complete. However, the Child status remained at Work Complete. I had to manually change the status to Close Work Order today to prevent the Parent work order from showing up on the Work Order/Maintenance Contract Billing window. Is there an automatic process that updates child work orders to Z-Close Work Order when the parent work order is invoiced?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Currently, there is no automatic process in place that closes child work orders if they are invoiced with the parent work order. The child work orders will have to be manually updated to Z - Close Work Order for PENTA's Revenue Recognition process to mark them as Complete.
