The PENTA for Windows user creating the menu item will need to have the proper security setup in PENTA for Windows to create menu items and set security/access to menu items.

1 On the PfW menu bar, select Edit > Enable Menu Editing

4 Enter the following:

  • Description: PTI Error Log File
  • Type Code: Select External
  • Command: Enter the full path to to the ptiError.log file (include the filename (ptiError.log) at the end of the path)

The following is an Example where the ptiError.log file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Penta Technologies, Inc\Penta for Windows

Users will need to be granted access to the menu item. Access to PENTA for Windows menu items is setup via System Management > Security > Security Groups
