I have an issue when Generating 1099's for one of our OUs, I receive the error message below. Please advise. Path is Accounts Payable> Year End Processing>1099 Generation.

Error detected. Please call your Penta account representative.

State ID information missing for state XX

Processing of 1099's:

Accounts Payable > Year End Processing > 1099 Generation

Adding State Tax ID information:

Payroll > Setup > Taxes > State Tax Information

Resolution/Fix/Answer

This error is being returned because the State Tax Information for the state in the error message is missing. This can be added in the Payroll > Setup > Taxes > State Tax Information window.
