Automatic Assignment of Customer Ids
Issue/Symptom/Question
Will PENTA skip over existing Customer Ids when using the feature to automatically assign the next Customer Id to a new record? The question applies in a scenario where there exists customers in a database and the option to auto assign the Customer Id is subsequently turned on. If the "starting Customer #" is less than existing customer numbers does PENTA fail or will it find the next available number in the sequence?

Resolution/Fix/Answer
PENTA determines the next Customer Id in the auto assignment sequence, if there currently exists a customer with that Id PENTA looks to the next Id in the sequence until it finds an unused customer number.
