After Workbench Upgrade not seeing columns
Issue/Symptom/Question
- PENTA added new columns to a Workbench report during an upgrade
- Not all users are able to see the new columns
- Different users don't see the same available columns
Applies To
- Workbench
- Adding a newly created column as part of the upgrade
- User has saved reports and/or saved default layouts
Resolution/Fix/Answer
- Clear the cache in your browser.
- Clear any saved default layout on the report or delete the saved report
- If the columns still do not appear, Log out and back in and go back to the Workbench report
- New columns should be visible and you can update and reformat the report to save a default layout or create a new saved report
Cause
When a user saves a report or saves a default layout they are saving a "bookmark".
This bookmark contains everything about the report including the available columns.
When a new column is created it does not get added to saved reports and saved default layouts.
