Ability to move customer equipment from one customer to another

Issue/Symptom/Question

Is it possible to mass reassign a block of customer equipment to a different customer id? I cannot see or find in the documentation that feature but checking before I have the user inactive the equipment and setup under a different customer id. The equipment was mistakenly setup under the wrong customer ID. No service history exists.

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  1. Create a new temporary location in the old customer (Customers window)
  2. Re-assign equipment to new location at the old customer (Equipment window)
  3. Re-assign location to new customer, include equipment (Customer window)
  4. Move equipment to the location at the new customer (Equipment window)
