When attempting to assign a accumulated depreciation account to an asset class, the correct account is not listed or not available in the list of values, why?

Finance & Accounting > Setup > Accounts > Chart of Accounts

Resolution/Fix/Answer

In order to assign a Depreciation Reserve Acct #, that account must have a DEPR edit rule code. To confirm this:

1. Navigate to the Chart of Accounts window
2. Query back the Account # in question
3. Assign the DEPR edit rule code
