Can we purchase material and put it directly to a warehouse under a specific account number? 

Environment

Penta for Windows

Purchase Order Entry Path:

Purchasing > Purchase Order - Grid Options

Warehouse Account# Setup:

Inventory > Setup > Warehouse Information

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Distributing a purchase order directly to an OU and an account with an edit rule, is not allowed in Penta. You will have to set up the account to charge in the Warehouse Information window Account# field. When entering a purchase order charged to the warehouse, the account number is used to post inventory transactions.
