What are the steps to add a logo to the Employee Portal?

Resolution/Fix/Answer


  1.  Using the Penta Configuration utility, drill down to the Employee Portal from the list of Configured Employee Portals.  [From the middle window note the Physical Path for verification later]
  2.  From the Actions on the far right, click Modify to maintain the properties for the Employee Portal
  3.  The Logo Path field maintains the logo for the Employee Portal.  Use the ellipsis to the right of the Logo Path to browse to the desired logo.  
  4. Press Change
    At this point, the configuration tool makes a copy of the file browsed to in the Logo Path to the \styling\images folder in the subfolder noted in step 1.  The file will be named logoTransparent.png, regardless of the type of file selected.  Ex, if you select C:\temp\Capture.jpg, Capture.jpg will be copied, in this example, to C:\ProgramData\Penta Technologies, Inc\Employee Portal\PentaEmployeePortal\styling\images\logoTransparent.png
  5. Because the logo file is always named logoTransparent.png, the user MUST clear the cache in their browser before the new logo will be visible when viewing the Employee Portal.
