Setting up Service Charge
Issue/Symptom/Question
We need to know if Penta can do service charges on balances customers owe us that are past due.

Set up Payment Term:
Accounts Payable > Setup > Payment Terms
Set up Service Charges:
Service Management > Customer Information > Other Customer Attributes > Customer Service Charges
Assign Payment Term to Customer:
Service Management > Customer Information > Customers - Invoicing Tab OR Billing & Accounts Receivable > Customers > Customers - Invoicing Tab
Resolution/Fix/Answer
The setup of service charges will only add the fee to future jobs that are set up for the customer with the service charge. Below are the steps to set up service charges for a customer:
1) Set up the Payment Term via the Accounts Payable > Setup > Payment Terms window:
2) Set up the Customer Service Charges via Service Management > Customer Information > Other Customer Attributes > Customer Service Charges window:
3) Assign the Payment Term to a Customer via Service Management > Customer Information > Customers > Invoicing Tab:
