Restrict ability to see Confidential Payroll Information

Issue/Symptom/Question

How do we setup access to OU but restrict ability to see confidential payroll Information for Employees?

Applies To

Payroll:

System Management> Security > Define Users

Payroll > Pay Groups

Payroll > Employees

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  1. Define Users should have access to Payroll Access Level # 1 = Access Non Confidential Only or # 0 = No Access
  2. Pay Group should be flagged Confidential = Y
  3. Employees should be flagged Confidential = Y
  4. If the User does not have access to the Employee Information then they will not see the Employee data.
