Retroactive Pay Adjustments automatically distributed with regular payroll timecards
Issue/Symptom/Question
- When performing the Timecard Distribution process, and after approving retroactive pay adjustments, is a separate step needed to distribute retroactive pay adjustments?
- Will Retroactive Pay Adjustments automatically be distributed with regular payroll timecards?
- When do I need to open the Retroactive Adjustments popup window within the Timecard Distribution process?

Resolution/Fix/Answer
After retroactive pay adjustments have been calculated and approved, the adjustments will automatically get distributed the next time you run the labor distribution process, and be included on the payroll checks/direct deposits for the current week. There is no need to use the 'Retroactive Adjustments' button in the Timecard Distribution window unless you are processing standalone retroactive pay adjustments outside of the normal payroll process (in other words you want the retroactive pay adjustments to be processed in a payroll period other than the current payroll period). Please refer to Processing Retro Pay amounts as a standalone process on how to process retroactive pay adjustments as a stand alone process.
Â
Use the Retroactive Adjustments window and select an alternate Period End Date in which the retroactive payroll amounts are to be paid, either for an entire Pay Group or individually by Employee.
