Start Time and Stop Time that Crosses Midnight
Start Time and Stop Time that Crosses Midnight
Issue/Symptom/Question
What does PENTA do with hours when the Start and Stop Time (Time In and Time Out) cross Midnight or is two days?
Applies To
Payroll Time Entry
Resolution/Fix/Answer
PENTA Assigns the Work Date for the Hours to both Start and Stop, even if the stop time is the next day. If the Day should end and a new Work Day begin, then a new row with a 00:00 start time will be needed.
Here is the message PENTA provides when the Stop time and midnight is not entered:
Warning: Stop Time should be greater than Start Time. Do you want to continue?
The message can be skipped and the Start and Stop will share the same date.
