Overtime Rules

Overview:

Overtime can be tracked in one of two ways in PENTA: Manual or Automatic. The Overtime Rules window allows PENTA users to utilize the automated method by setting up predefined rules. Rules set up in the Overtime Rules window calculate which hours should be which Hour Type based on characteristics such as hours worked in a single day/week/pay period, Hour Type, Pay Class/Pay-rate, Hours Classification, etc. Once a rule is set up in the Overtime Rules window, no additional maintenance will be needed unless the nature of said rule changes. 


Benefits:

  • Allows the automatic conversion of Regular hours to Premium 1 and Premium 2.
  • Enables partial automation during the time entry process.
  • Provides more accurate/consistent time card records.
