Employee set up wrong and has time in PENTA already

Issue/Symptom/Question

  • Employee was setup with the wrong Employee Id

  • Time has been charged for the Employee

  • Can we get this changed?

Applies To

  • Payroll >Employees > Employee Information

  • Payroll > Time Entry > Time/Equipment/Production entry window

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  • You will be able to move the time without getting a developer involved

  • Enter a timecard for the Employee who was set up wrong with negative hours with the same distribution as the original timecard

  • Distribute the timecard

  • Navigate to the Employee Information window and change the Employee Id that should not be in the system to inactive

  • Re-enter the timecard to the correct Employee Id
