Create a new calendar year in Pay Groups window

How do I add a new year in the Pay Groups window?

Where is payroll period End Date and Check Date setup for a new calendar year?

Payroll>Setup>Pay Groups, Payroll Classes and Workers Compensation>Pay Groups 

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  • Steps to add new Pay Period Dates for the new year:
    1. Navigate to Payroll>Setup>Pay Groups, Payroll Classes and Workers Compensation>Pay Group
    2. Query existing Pay Groups and navigate to the bottom block 
    3. Click Insert and enter the next year (2018)
    4. A popup window will appear - Follow the prompts to setup the first period ending date and check date and close the popup
    5. All of the Pay Periods will default in based on the first period ending date and check date
    6. Revise any period ending dates or check dates that need updated (ie. holiday dates)
