Resolution/Fix/Answer

If the person starting the check process should have the ability to create checks for everyone in the pay group then here are the scenarios:

  1. A User with Confidential Access should query the pay group # and confidential code Y in the Employee Payroll Information window to identify the reason for the message
    1. If the confidential code field is incorrect, change it to N
    2. If the confidential code field is correct, then the pay group # might be wrong
    3. If the confidential code and pay group are correct, then the User receiving the error might have an incorrect Payroll Access Level
    4. If the confidential code and pay group and User's Payroll Access is correct, then a User that has confidential access should be creating the checks

Cause

The User's Payroll Access Level and Employee's confidential code for the pay group check run are not in sync
