I would like to setup a recurring journal entries with $0 and update it each month before posting because the amounts will change. How can I do this?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

When defining recurring journal entries in the Recurring Journal Entries window, the entry of an amount is optional.

• If amounts are entered for the recurring journal entry, PENTA automatically uses those amount during the recurring journal entry distribution process.
• If amounts are blank for the recurring journal entry, PENTA will prompt the user for the amount(s) during the recurring journal entry distribution process. 
  • PENTA uses the amounts entered to process the recurring journal entry.
  • PENTA bypasses the recurring journal entry during the process if the amounts are still left blank.
