Customer Console Customer Location Search

Issue/Symptom/Question

Why can't I find a Customer Location using the Customer Console search?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Example:  Searching for Let's Just Wing It in West Allis.  The West Allis location does not show up when I type "Wing It"

Only those customer locations that have been set up with a location type that has been set up as a "work site" location type are shown in the customer/location list. 

To determine this:

  • Query your customer in the Customer screen.
  • Find the location in question in your locations.
  • Look at the location type.

  • Open the Location Types window

  • Determine if the "Work Site" is checked for the location type associated with the location in question
  • If not, should it be?  If not, should the location have a different location type that has "work Site" checked?
  • Return to the Customer screen and change the location's type to one that has "Work Site" checked.  Make sure you exit that row for the change to save.

  • Re-search in the Customer Console search.  That location should now appear.
