Connecting to PENTA Server on iPad

Issue/Symptom/Question

Need to connect to terminal servers via an iPad to access PENTA for Windows.

Applies To

  • iPad
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop App
  • Hosted client that has terminal servers accessible via a Gateway server

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  1. On the iPad, download the Microsoft Remote Desktop App from the App store



  2. Tap the Microsoft Remote Desktop app to launch it.
  3. Tap on the + icon to add a connection


  4. Tap on Remote Resources


  5. Tap on the E-Mail or URL field


  6. Enter the Remote Desktop Web Feed URL for the environment. This can be provided by the PENTA tech services department if you don't already have it.


  7. Tap Done
  8. Tap Find Feed


  9. Tap Add User Account


  10. Enter the Doman\username in the Username Field. 
         Example: penta.local\exampleuser. 
            penta.local is the domain in this example. 
            exampleuser is the username of the user that is going to login to the PENTA server in this example.
  11. Enter the password for the user account.
  12. Tap Save


  13. Tap Find Feed


  14. Tap Desktops
  15. Tap on the Penta Desktop to connect to the server


  16. If you get a pop-up asking you to accept or reject, tap Accept.


  17. The app will now connect you to the server where you can run PENTA for Windows.
