Applies To

Resolution/Fix/Answer
Follow these steps for each bank for which you will print checks onto blank form stock.
Financial & Accounting > Setup > Bank Information > Bank Numbers
- In the Bank Numbers, window, query the bank for which you are setting up PENTAChecks.
- Click the Check Printing Setup button.
- PENTA opens the Miscellaneous Check Printing Setup pop-up window.
PENTA for Windows:
PENTA Web:
Enter the following information, setting the Bold (Y/N) flag to Y for the items PENTA will print in bold font and specifying the appropriate Point Size. The Point Size controls the size of the characters PENTA prints on the check form. For all items, point size should not total more than 54. We recommend individual values between 8 and 14.
- Name to Print. (Optional)
Note: Enter a Name to Print or a Logo Number. If both exist, PENTAChecks uses the Logo Number information.
- Address Line 1 (Optional)
- Address Line 2 (Optional)
- Address Line 3 (Optional)
- Logo Number (Optional)
Penta Technologies assigns a logo number for each bank logo you provide. Penta Technologies will load the bank logo file into your database and assign a Logo Number to the electronic image. Talk to your account manager regarding loading bank logo information.
Note: Either a Logo Number or a Name to Print must be entered. If both exist, PENTAChecks uses information associated with the Logo Number.
- Routing Number: Obtain this number from the bank.  If a Cash Account is assigned to a Form Id that is using a PENTA Check Layout, the Routing # is required in the Check Printing Information Setup window for that Bank Number.
- Frac Route Num: Enter the fractional routing number as a fraction for use in case the check sorter cannot read the MICR. PENTAChecks uses this for visual sorting. To obtain this number, review existing check stock to locate how this must display.
- Format: If the fractional routing number above displays as a single line, enter 1. If it must display as two lines, enter 2.
