Closed Work Orders still available in TEP

Issue/Symptom/Question

After a work order is billed, and the status is updated to Z - Close Work Order, crew leaders are still able to key time to these work orders. Should they be able to enter time on 'Z' status work orders?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Penta allows entry of hours on work orders with a status of 'Z - Close Work Orders'.

Field entry may be necessary if it's related to any warranty work or if the 'Z' status is incorrect in PENTA.

To facilitate payroll processing in a timely manner, Penta will allow hours entry to these Z status work orders - rather than delaying payroll to get these hours entered, or the work order status changed (requiring research and calling the admin office to determine what should be done), they are permitted. 
Time can always be adjusted after entry, if it is determined that the hours are incorrectly applied.

Unfortunately, there are no configuration settings right now that would change how this works.

NOTE: Once a work order is updated to 'C' Complete status, then it will disappear from the application. Work Orders move from the Z status to the C status automatically during the revenue recognition process.
