Correcting an incorrect Job Id
Issue/Symptom/Question
Job was setup with the wrong Job Id and it would be best if the PENTA Job Id matched the Current System when comparing outputs during model company testing.

Resolution/Fix/Answer
- Delete the Job and Start Over if no transactions, estimates, etc., have been created/entered for the Job.
- If the Job is referenced in many other areas of PENTA (transactions, estimates, etc.) reverse and delete all the references prior to deleting the Job in Job Information window. Then re-enter everything.
- If the volume is too much to reverse out and start over, please log a billable Service Desk request to have all the references for the Job # updated.
- Please include the Job # that is wrong and what Job # it should be changed to in the Service Desk request
CauseÂ
Job Id cannot be changed in Job Information window because the Job is the unique key on many tables. Changing it would require all the other tables referencing the Job Id to be changed as well.
