Where do the direct deposit numbers (DD-####) come from on many Accounts Payable and Payroll reports? They appear to be sequential but there are gaps.

Resolution/Fix/Answer
- PENTA uses a table of sequential numbers to determine which numbers get assigned to direct deposits
- If a users cancels a process, the direct deposit numbers are not reused.
- Accounts Payable and Payroll direct deposits use the same set of sequence numbers
- The direct deposit numbers appear on several reports as a unique identifier and to clearly identify the payments as direct deposits and not checks
