TEP - Submit button not available

Issue/Symptom/Question

We have an Activity Log that is in progress by our foreman and the Submit button is not available to click on. Our foreman copied his previous day Activity Log that had no issues when he submitted that last week. We are unable to determine why it won't submit. There are no errors indicated as to why.

In the Review section, Employees tab, scroll through to see if there are any error message indicators (red exclamation point). If there is an error message, open the employee record and click on the error  to review the message. 

For this specific error (This employee is not active), you'll need to either delete the timecard record or activate the employee in Penta - see below how to activate employee.

 

To activate an employee in Penta:

  • Navigate to Payroll > Employees > Employee Payroll Information screen and query for the inactive employee
  • Click on Status History
  • Insert a new record
  • Add the new active status and date
  • Exit the windows to complete the active status update


Cause 

Inactive Employee had work hours logged. Employee was inactivated after the previous Activity Log was submitted.Â
