How does the By Percent allocation of time in TEP work?

When allocating Clock Hours By Percent of entered hours, enter the hours that were worked for each costcode during the day.

PENTA takes the hours for the costcode and divides it by the total hours entered to find the percentage.  The percentage is then multiplied by the selected hours on the activity log.

2/9 * selected hours = Allocated Hours to B Line Ftg [1000010] Labor in the image above

This method does not leave a variance.  If an employee had 9.5 selected clock hours, all 9.5 would be prorated to the costcodes with hours entered in the By Percent Allocation screen.
