Troubleshooting a corrupt Windows user profile

Issue/Symptom/Question

Only one user is receiving an error when running PENTA for Windows (PfW). Other users can run the same function in PfW without receiving the error.

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Testing a Windows user profile on a Desktop.

User 1 is the only person receiving an error in PfW.

User 1 should go to a different User's desktop (we'll call this person User 2)

User 2 would log into User 2's Desktop using User 2's Windows login.

User 1 would start and run PfW on User 2's desktop.

If User 1 doesn't receive the error in PfW, then User 1's profile may need to be recreated on User 1's desktop


Testing a Windows user profile on a Citrix Server or Terminal Server

User 1 is the only person receiving an error in PfW.

User 1 should go to a different User's desktop (we'll call this person User 2)

User 2 would log into User 2's Desktop using User 2's Windows login.

User 2 would login to the Citrix server or the Terminal Server using User 2's Windows login

User 1 would start and run PfW on the Citrix Server or Terminal Server

If User 1 doesn't receive the error in PfW, then User 1's profile may need to be recreated on the Citrix Server or Terminal Server
