Recreating a User Profile Disk
For use when a specific user is experiencing trouble with their Windows account or some application within the RDS environment.
This will reset that domain account on the RDS server back to scratch, so make sure save any needed info to a file share before making changes.
Log into the file server
Launch file explorer and navigate to the User Profile Disks folder
Launch Sidder as administrator
In Sidder, sort by username and make note of the last 4 digits of the UVHD associated with the account
In the User Profile Disks folder, find the UVHD of the account found in Sidder and amend the file with .OLD
If the UVHD is locked in use, launch Computer Management and go to System Tools > Shared Folders > Open Files
Find the UVHD file that is associated with the username found in Sidder and right click to close open files
Have the user log back in and test
