Could not find a connection configuration provider error when attempting to view Service invoice

Issue/Symptom/Question

I have given a user permissions to service billing. I have these permissions also, we both get this error when selecting an invoice to bill. Another user has these rights but does not get the error message.

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Penta is locally installed and is missing penta.ini  in their setup. To resolve:

  1. Type Environment in your Windows Search box.

  2. Click on Edit the system environment variables.

  3. Click on Advanced > Edit Environments.

  4. Click on penta.ini > Edit > enter penta.ini to the end of the Variable value.

  • Where Penta is installed for user (remote/local)
