Penta 2024 End of Year Bulletin 1 of 4

This document is the first of four year-end notifications Penta Software issues. It contains an overview of activities that impact your 2024 W-2, 1099-MISC, and 1099-NEC returns and your 2025 payroll year.

We help you prepare for year-end and the new payroll year by:

1. Coordinating supported W-2, 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC form and envelope ordering through our forms partner, Nelco Solutions.
2. Providing program updates compliant with 2024 W-2, 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC requirements.
3. Providing program updates for 2025 federal payroll tax and state income tax changes.
4. Providing a guide to using PENTA for end of year payroll processing and W-2 preparation.
5. Providing a guide to using PENTA for 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC preparation.

Throughout the fourth quarter, we send the following year-end packets of information via email to the designated year-end contact(s) at your company. To add, update, or remove an employee on our designated contact list please follow the Knowledge Base article here.

1. Forms Ordering
   1. The responsible person(s) in your company orders the following forms from Nelco Solutions website:
      1. W-2 Forms
      2. 1099-MISC Form
      3. 1099-NEC Form
2. Program Modification Letter and Update Installation Schedule:
   1. The responsible person(s) in your company selects an installation period using the booking link in Bulletin 3, then completes the installation schedule, and submits it to Penta.
   2. Penta uploads and installs the program changes per the installation schedule.
