Users cannot modify the Parent Job Id field in the Job Information window
Issue/Symptom/Question
Only Admin users have the ability to update the Parent Job Id field after a Job is created in Penta. For non-Admin Users, the field is grayed out. All users can make an entry in this field when the Job is created.

Resolution/Fix/Answer
For this customer, System Option 129 - Check Parent Job Change Authority was set to 'Y' - Check to determine if a user has authorization. This option setting checks whether a user has authorization to post to closed periods (Accounting Level Auth Level of 3 in the Defined Users window). If the user does not have authorization, PENTA prevents the user from making changes to the Parent Job ID field in the Job Information window.
Setting the option to 'N' - Don't check to determine if user has authorization. (default value) will allow a user to update the Parent Job field after a job is created.
