Query all Direct Deposit records when expecting only OU authorized records
Issue/Symptom/Question
My user queries the Direct Deposit Voids or Checks with Net = 0 and it appears that all direct deposits for a certain date are returned. This user only has one OU set up in the Defined Users OU Authorization window. Why is this user able to query all records for this date?

Resolution/Fix/Answer
This window’s security is based on Payroll Access Level and, to some extent, OU security. Dependent on the Payroll Access Level assigned to the User, Penta will return the associated records(s) for all check dates or, all records for a specific check date. The user will not be able to void the records if they do not have OU security. For any records the user is not able to void due to security setup, there will be an message at the bottom of the window: *Sorry, cannot void - no access to employee's ou.
