How do I change the Work Order Description that defaults for Work Orders created from a Maintenance Contract?

The default description can be changed for Work Orders created from a Maintenance Contract in PENTA (PFW) versions 22.1 and up. This can be changed in either the Maintenance Contract screen or the Anticipated Customer Maintenance - Equipment/Contracts screen. To change the default Work Order Description in the Maintenance Contract screen:

1. Open the Maintenance Contract screen and query the Maintenance Contract ID you wish update the default Work Order Description.
2. In the Equipment/Locations tab select the location row you want to update and select the Maint Sched Info button.
3. In the Maintenance Schedule pop up edit the Work Order Description field in the lower block for the Scheduled Service Date you wish to update the Work Order Description. 
   1. NOTE: After the Work Order has been created this field is read only and will display the Work Orders Short Description.
      

To change the default Work Order Description in the Anticipated Customer Maintenance - Equipment/Contracts screen:

1. Open the Anticipated Customer Maintenance - Equipment/Contracts screen.
2. Find the Maintenance Contract you wish to update check the 'Select?' checkbox.
3. Select the Create Work Orders button.
4. In the Create Work Orders for Customer Equipment and Maintenance Contracts pop up the value entered in the Maintenance Contract screen will default in the Work Order Description field. If there is no value we will default 'XX/XX/XXXX Scheduled Maint'. Update the Work Order Description field to the desired text you want in the Work Order Short Description.
5. Select the Create Work Orders button. This will create the Work Orders with the entered Work Order Description.
