Extra Recurring Journal entries generated during year end process
Issue/Symptom/Question
We ran the year end process in test and the system generated duplicate entries. These were all duplicates of recurring entries. This has happened on past year ends in production and the previous staff member had to manually reverse the entries. The current staff would like to be able to close the year without the duplicate entries being generated.

Resolution/Fix/Answer
System Option 76 - Recurring JE With Close is set to Y = Run recurring JE steps, if necessary, with close.
System Option 108 - Procreq Purge - # of Days holds the number of days to maintain process request and process complete information before Penta automatically deletes these records.Â

In client TEST database:
- System Option 76 was set to Y
- System Option 108 was set to 180 Days
Client ran the Recurring Journal Entry process outside of close before the 180 days of closing their accounting period. Because the process request and process complete records had been automatically deleted due to system option 108's setting, Penta re-processed the Recurring Journal Entries.Â
