Issue/Symptom/Question

Accounting transferred a fixed asset from a profit center yard to the home yard so that the asset could be disposed in April. The user is unable to dispose of the Asset. Error states that "you are disposing of more pieces for this asset than are available for disposal . . . . " 

Error:

You are disposing of more pieces for this asset than are available for disposal as of the disposal date. Before you can complete this disposal, you must transfer additional units back to the asset's home yard or to another yard in the same OU as the home yard.

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Review the Fixed Asset's Yard# and the Equip Location in Fixed Asset Management > Asset Information. The asset should be assigned to the Yard # or a yard in the asset's OU ID. 

Once review has confirmed all information is correct and continue to receive the above error, please submit a Service Desk ticket and reference this article.  Please provide the following information in your Service Desk ticket:

• Asset Id
• Disposal date
• Screenshot of error
