Fixed Asset (FA) pending transfer error message
Issue/Symptom/Question
We received the below error when attempting to move the FA.Â
FA Id XXXX has a pending transfer that must either be completed or removed before that asset can be entered here. Do you wish to see the possible values?Â

Equipment Transfer Entry:
Equipment Cost Control > Equipment Charging - Rental Basis > Equipment Transfer Entry
Equipment Transfer Approval:
Equipment Cost Control > Equipment Charging - Rental Basis > Equipment Transfer Approval
Resolution/Fix/Answer
The error indicates there is already a transfer in process for the fixed asset. Prior to entering a new transfer, the existing transfer must be deleted or processed. To review/approve the transfer the below steps should be completed:
Step 1: The user attempting to transfer the equipment should query for any previously entered equipment transfers via the Equipment Transfers - Miscellaneous window
- If there is a transaction when querying for this asset, either delete or complete the transfer
Step 2: The user attempting to transfer the equipment should query for any previously entered equipment transfers via the Equipment Transfer Entry window
- If the equipment is listed in the In Process tab, the user should either Submit for Approval or delete the entry
- If the equipment is listed in the Pending tab, the user should contact an authorized user to approve or reject the entry via the Equipment Transfer Approval window
- If the equipment is listed in the Rejected tab, the user should either delete the transaction, update any information on the tab and re-submit for approval
