Issue/Symptom/Question

Our bank requested that we include a fractional routing number on all checks issued.

• PENTA for Windows
• Bank Account Numbers setup
• Finance & Accounting> Setup> Bank Information> Check Printing Setup

Resolution/Fix/Answer

The Fractional routing number is set up at the Bank level.

• Navigate to the Bank Number Screen
• Query back the appropriate bank
• Select the Check Printing Setup button
• Enter the Fractional Routing Number in the "Frac Route Num" field
• In the Format/# of Format Lines field
  • Enter 1 if you want the fractional routing number to appear on one line
    E.g. 2-397/724
  • Enter 2 if you want the fractional routing number to appear on two lines, broken at the /.
    E.g. 2-397
           /724
