Issue/Symptom/Question

Our bank requires that a prenote with the vendor or employee's bank info be submitted before the bank will remit money to that account.  How can we create a file with the prenote employee or vendor bank only so the first time they are paid a check is not prepared?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

  • Start the Check process for employees or vendors that need a prenote sent only. PENTA will create checks.
  • Create the ACH file and confirm the prenote records exist and send to the bank.
  • Update the prenote status for the employees or vendors to A (Approved) when bank confirms.
  • Void the checks
  • Run the normal payment processes and the actual ACH record for the payment will be included in the file.
