Getting Fixed Assets or Tools on MFS Device
Issue/Symptom/Question
Tech does not see fixed assets in their Tools section of ticketing on the MFS device.

Resolution/Fix/Answer
 For a Fixed Asset to show in the Tools section of MFS ticketing the following must be set up:
- The Fixed Asset must have a status code of 'A' or Active.
- The Fixed Asset must have usage charge information established. This includes both the Usage Charge Rate Section and the Income Acct # fields located on the Charge By Usage tab of the Asset Information screen. Also, confirm a Default Unit of Measure exists.
- Is the Tech authorized for the Fixed Asset OU?Â
- To determine this, Penta first looks at the Technicians default login OU located on the Define Users screen. If this OU matches the OU on the FA the Tech is Authorized for the FA.Â
- If no OU is entered in the default login OU, then PENTA uses the employees OU located on the Employee Payroll Information screen for the Employee ID of the Tech. If this matches the OU on the FA then the tech is authorized for the FA.
- Lastly, PENTA looks at the Tool OUs section on the Define Users screen, Mobile tab. If the Tech has the Fixed Assets OU ID in the list of OUs on the Tool OUs section, they are then authorized for the FA.
- As part of Technician Setup, best practice is to include all OUs that hold tools that the Tech might use in this list to prevent issues where the Tech does not see a Tool on the MFS Work Order.
