After implementing PENTA and converting over from a different system, depreciation appears to be incorrect for several assets
Applies To
PENTA for Windows
Fixed Asset Management > Asset Information
Finance & Accounting > Processing > Fixed Assets > Depreciation Projection
System Management > Initial Load > Fixed Assets > Depreciation
Resolution/Fix/Answer
Confirm the following is correctly defined for the Fixed Asset
- Original Cost
- In Service Date
- Depreciation Method
- Depreciation Life
- Salvage Value
- If historical depreciation balances were loaded in as part of a ERP conversion, validate the prior depreciation balances were correct and correctly loaded into PENTA
- NOTE: Prior year depreciation must be loaded separately and dated in the prior fiscal year, from current fiscal year depreciation
If all of the above checks out, please submit a Service Desk ticket and reference this article.
