Applies To

PENTA for Windows

Payroll > Setup > Pay Groups, Payroll Classes and Workers Compensation > Worker Compensation Codes and Rates

Payroll > Time Entry > Time/Equipment/Production Units Entry > Daily or Weekly tab> Override Info button

Payroll > Setup > Pay Groups, Payroll Classes and Workers Compensation > Worker Compensation Codes and Rates / Cross References tabs

Project Management > Jobs > Job Information > Other tab

Payroll > Setup > Pay Groups, Pay Classes and Workers Compensation Codes > Payroll Classes > Standard Charging tab

Resolution/Fix/Answer

The following is the hierarchy that Penta uses to select the appropriate Workers Compensation Code to apply to each timecard record:

  1. Timecard override, on the Time/Equipment/Production Units Entry window’s Timecard Distribution Override Information pop-up window.
  2. Costcodes identified in the Job Cross Reference block of the WC Codes and Rates screen
  3. Job Information window’s Other tab
  4. Costcodes identified in the Job Type Cross Reference block of the WC Codes and Rates screen
  5. Accounts identified in the Account Cross Reference block of the WC Codes and Rates screen
  6. WC Code entered in the Pay Rate Information block of the employee’s Payroll Class and Pay Rate
