Remaining Commitments on closed Purchase Orders (PO)
Issue/Symptom/Question
How can we take care of this issue? We have a PO that was closed out, marked as 100%, and there are still some remaining commitments (pennies) on the PO. We have our options set to make commitment amount equal to invoiced amount when the PO is marked complete. Due to some rounding issues, there are several line items on this PO that have a couple pennies left in open commitments.

Resolution/Fix/Answer
Review System Option 150 and determine which method PENTA should be using to zero out the committed amounts.
Setting of:
- PENTA will not modify the PO Committed Amount(s)
- Indicates that the committed amount should be updated by using the Lump Sum method of Price History row entry
- Indicates that the committed amount should be updated by using the current method of Price History row entry for the given PO line
Cause
The reason the commitments are not being set to $0 is that the POs have units @ unit price pricing method and the unit price is only 3 decimal places. PENTA is making the adjustment to zero out the committed amount using a unit price that gets the committed as close to 0 as possible, given the 3 decimal unit price restriction. One way to eliminate these remaining pennies of committed cost would be to change option 150 to use value 2, which is to make lump sum adjustments.
