Applies To

PENTA for Windows

System Management > Work Order Information > Work Order Templates

Resolution/Fix/Answer

The Work Order Template window allows you to identify a predefined set of values for Work Orders. After entering sufficient information in this window to create a Work Order Template, you can apply it to Work Orders via the Work Orders window.

Applying a template to a Work Order is advantageous if you have standard recurring services with similar line items and/or billing features.

Copy a Template button

Clicking the Copy a Template button launches the Copy a Template pop-up window.

The Copy a Template pop-up window allows you to use an existing template as a “template” for the new template you are creating. To do so, enter an Id for the New Template you are creating, identify the template you want to copy from, then click OK.

After you click OK, PENTA creates your new template from the existing one you identified and allows you to make changes to the new one as you see fit.
