Service Types

Overview:

The Service Types window allows you to identify the nature of any service required on a Work Order. Service types then become available on Workbench reports that allow you to sort and filter to view information specific to one or more service types. Service Types also control default information such as default general ledger information, default revenue recognition rules, and a number of other options/parameters. The below training video walks through the process of creating a new Service Type in the system.

Benefits:

  • Assign default information such as revenue recognition and default general ledger accounts
  • List of available cost types and default cost accounts
  • Assign revenue recognition rules
  • Available on workbench reports for reporting purposes
