Running Crystal Reports from PENTA Menu

Overview:

Running Crystal Reports from the PENTA Menu opens up the report parameter editor.  The parameter editor can look different from report to report, depending on the number of parameters that the report has available for entry.

Benefits:

• Running from the PENTA Menu doesn't require the User to log into Crystal to run the report
• No need to select the report from a list of available reports, which is needed if running from Crystal parameter editor, as the menu item knows the report to run
• Menu Items for reports provides access to use Menu Security to restrict which Users can run which reports

Location:

• Reports can vary in location on the PENTA Menu because the menu items are created for each report and are considered User customized menu items.  However, the reports are typically located in a Crystal Reports folder within the applicable module.
