Case Control Setup

Overview:

The Case Control Setup window allows Users to control the case for a number of master records in the database. This is applicable in situations where companies mandate that master files be entered in upper case. This gives Users an easier way to query existing records within those master record windows, because Users don't have to remember to search in proper case.

The list of valid fields (and associated PENTA windows) is as follows:

• GL Account Name (Chart of Accounts)

• Vendor Name (Vendor Information)

• Vendor Prefix (Vendor Information)

• Employee Last Name (Employee Payroll Information)

• Employee First Name (Employee Payroll Information)

• Employee Middle Name (Employee Payroll Information)

• Job Name (Job Information)

• Job Additional Name (Job Information)

• Fixed Asset Description (Asset Information)

• Customer Name (Customers)

• Customer Prefix (Customers)

• Employee Prefix (Employee Payroll Information)

• Employee Suffix (Employee Payroll Information)

Benefits:

• Forces all CAPS regardless of entry case and also queries by forcing the query to be all CAPS
