Overhead Distribution Rule Information
Overview:
The Overhead Distribution Rule Information window is used to create a set of rules for allocating additional charges to labor or journal entry charges. Overhead Distribution Rules are used when Payroll Direct Burden charging is not used, because PENTA is set to only perform Labor Distribution (calculate Gross Pay) and not the taxes, fringes, etc. For example, an overhead distribution rule to add 12.5% to a labor hour cost can be created. Another example is adding a $2 per hour to jobs for consumables (gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.).
Benefits:
- Allocate Overhead Costs to the Jobs being charged
Roles:
- CFO
- Controller
